G & C Drywalls LLC ("G&C Drywall", "we", "us", or "our") is a family-owned drywall contractor based in Central New Jersey. We respect your privacy and collect only what we need to answer your questions and quote your project.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and when you call or email us, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. The short version: we use your information to reply to you and to do the work you ask us to do. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to visitors of this website and to anyone who contacts us by our contact form, email, or phone, including homeowners, property managers, builders, and other business clients. It does not cover websites or services run by other companies, even if we link to them.

Work we perform for you is also governed by the written contract for that project. If that contract contains different privacy terms, the contract controls for that project.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you use our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name and email address (required), so we can reply.
  • Your company name (optional).
  • The service you are interested in (optional).
  • Your message, including any details about your property, project, or timeline you choose to share.
  • A record that you accepted this Privacy Policy, with the date and time you sent the form.

If you call, email, or text us, we receive whatever you choose to share, such as your phone number, address, photos of the job, and project details. If you hire us, we also collect the information needed to quote, schedule, perform, and invoice the work.

Please do not send sensitive information through the form, such as Social Security numbers, bank or card details, or health information. We never need it to give you an estimate.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, some technical information is collected automatically when you visit:

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical details of each request, such as your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, pages requested, referring page, and the date and time.
  • Spam protection. Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA, which analyzes information such as your IP address, browser and device details, and how you interact with the page to tell people apart from automated bots.
  • Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. To deliver them, your browser sends Google your IP address and standard request information. Google states that the Fonts service does not set cookies.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use only a small number of strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies, explained in our Cookie Policy. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information only for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiry and send you an automatic confirmation that we received it.
  • To prepare estimates, schedule site visits, perform and invoice work, and provide after-job service.
  • To keep our website and contact form secure and to prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
  • To keep business records and meet our legal, tax, insurance, and licensing obligations.
  • To protect our rights and the safety of our customers, crew, and others, and to resolve disputes.

We do not send marketing newsletters. If we ever want to send you promotional emails, we will ask for your permission first, and every such email will let you unsubscribe.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only in these situations:

Service providers

We rely on a few trusted companies to run this website and our email. They process information on our behalf and only to provide their services to us:

Other situations

  • Project partners. If you hire us, we may share the details needed to do the job with suppliers, subcontractors, inspectors, or your general contractor.
  • Legal reasons. When we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, our business, or others.
  • Business changes. If our business is sold, merged, or transferred, customer records may transfer to the new owner, who must continue to protect them as described here.
  • With your permission. In any other case, only when you ask us to or agree to it.

5. Online tracking, Do Not Track, and Global Privacy Control

We do not allow third parties to collect personal information about your online activities over time or across other websites through our website, except for the limited security processing by Google reCAPTCHA described above.

Do Not Track. Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common standard for how websites should respond to it, our website does not respond to Do Not Track signals. Since we do not track you across websites, this makes no practical difference today.

Global Privacy Control. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your information for targeted advertising, and our cookie settings will keep marketing cookies switched off.

6. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above:

  • Inquiries that do not become a project: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted.
  • Customer and project records (estimates, contracts, invoices, correspondence, job photos): as long as needed to honor warranties and meet legal, tax, and insurance requirements, generally up to 7 years after the project ends.
  • Email delivery logs at EmailJS: kept by EmailJS for a short period (up to 30 days, depending on our plan) to confirm delivery, then deleted automatically.
  • Server logs at our host: kept by Vercel for a limited period for security and operations.
  • Your cookie choice: stored in your own browser for up to 12 months, or until you clear it.

We may keep information longer if the law requires it or if it is needed to resolve a dispute or enforce our agreements.

7. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the size of our business and the type of information we hold. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the whole website, spam protection on our contact form, strong passwords on our business accounts, and limiting access to the people who need it to serve you.

No method of sending or storing information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affecting your personal information ever occurs, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by the laws of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, or your state.

8. Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy in a portable format.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate.
  • Delete your personal information, unless we need to keep it for a legal reason or to complete work you asked for.
  • Opt out of any sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or profiling. We do not do any of these, but you are welcome to record your choice.
  • Withdraw consent you have given, such as for optional cookies, at any time. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

How to make a request

Email us at gcdrywallsnj@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy request", or call us at (732) 757-3462. Tell us what you would like us to do. To protect you, we will confirm your identity, usually by replying to the email address we have on file, before acting on a request. You may also use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof that they are authorized to act for you.

We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and may extend this once by another 45 days. Requests are free of charge. We will not treat you differently, raise prices, or refuse service because you exercised a privacy right.

If you disagree with our answer

If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the word "Appeal". We will respond to appeals within 45 days and explain our reasons. If you are still not satisfied, you may contact the consumer protection office of your state Attorney General. New Jersey residents can reach the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs (opens in a new tab).

9. State-specific information

New Jersey. We are based in New Jersey and have written this policy with the New Jersey Data Privacy Act in mind. The rights described in section 8, including the 45-day response time, the right to appeal, and honoring Global Privacy Control, are available to all of our customers.

New York and Pennsylvania. We serve customers in New York and Pennsylvania and protect their information under the same safeguards, including the data security and breach notification laws of those states.

California. California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, which is described in this policy. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Section 5 explains how we respond to Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.

10. Children's privacy

Our website is meant for adults arranging construction work and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Where information is stored

We and our service providers store and process information in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and handled in the United States.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If we make a material change, such as using your information in a significantly different way, we will also display a notice on our website for at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Changes apply only going forward.
